The oval ring at the top of the 9 x 13 ft OvalPod keeps the net in its oval shape. There are two versions of this pole. The G4 pole is for 9 x 13 OvalPods manufactured from 2008-2015 (which typically had GREEN PADS), whereas the G3 pole is for 9 x 13 OvalPods manufactured from 2016 onwards (which typically have BLACK PADS). The main difference between the poles is their diameter. The earlier G4 pole had a diameter of 11.2 mm, whereas the newer G3 pole has a diameter of 9.5 mm. If you are unclear which of these 2 versions you need, we recommend you measure the diameter of your old pole. Alternatively, the diameter of the pole is usually stamped onto the plastic pole caps into which the G3/G4 pole is fitted.
