Solitaire is a fun traditional game for one player, which involves trying to clear the board, by jumping pieces one over another, leaving the last piece in the centre. It is often said that the game was invented by a French aristocrat in the Bastille at the time of the French revolution, however the game can be traced back to the time of Louis XIV a hundred years before in the late 17th Century. |

Rules of Solitaire - Place all 33 pieces on the board.
The centre piece removed. Select a piece and jump over the adjacent
one into a vacant space. Diagonal moves are not allowed - you
can only move horizontally and vertically. Remove the 'jumped
over' piece. The player repeats these moves until there are
no more pieces left to jump over, and the last piece ends up
in the centre. Two players can take it in turns to player, the winner being the person who has the least number of pieces left.
