Do you remember playing on a climbing
frame when you were a child? We all know that climbing
frames provided endless hours of fun, and our latest play
centre products really do represent great value for money
for parents who want to buy their children something quite
special. The single Monmouth has been designed to provide
a Playcentre for children of varied ages, as well as a
strong base for adding more climbing features for older
active children. The prime differences between the Single
Arundel and the Monmouth are the inclusion of a sturdy
and attractive wooden staircase allowing easy access for
very young children and a larger 90cm (3ft) x 120cm (4ft)
enclosed platform. The tower provides access to the 3m
(10ft) wavy green slide (the slide is raised at the end so that
children land on their feet, not on their bottoms!), and the enclosed balustrades
are perfect for creating an imaginary fort or castle.
Attached to one side of the tower is an 8 rung x 4 strand
commando net, on the other the tall swing arm with two
adjustable height wooden swings and climbing rope. Included
within the tower base is a sandpit with seats (missing
in this photo).

The addition of the Assault Course (ATJE469) on the end of the swing-arm
extends the age range of the PlayCentre and provides challenging climbing. There is also
the option of removing the swing arm and replacing it with our Monkey Bars Accessory
(ATJE 60.4) for maximum climbing areas.

Without Swing Arm

Assembly
& Maintenance - Full Step by Step instructions are given
with every item. Please follow all assembly instructions
and do not carry out any adaptations to the Play Systems,
as these could affect your warranty. The Monmouth should
always be secured to the ground that it stands on. If you
are putting it on top of decking then we would suggest galvanised
angle brackets available at most DIY stores, if you are
putting it onto a grassy surface, woodchip, or similar then
we recommend Ground Anchors (supplied with the Monmouth).
All Items are to be assembled by Adults. All Screws and
Bolts together with Fixings and Anchor Points should be
checked and, if required, adjusted at least twice a year.
Replace any damaged parts immediately. The Pressure Treated
timber will naturally, over time, change colour through
Green to Brown and then to Grey. To reduce this colour change
the timber can be treated once a year, good quality wood
stains are available from Hardware and DIY stores, please
follow manufacturers guidelines for application of these
stains and to see if they are suitable. The application
of stains is optional as the colour change in the wood will
not affect its strength, durability or the warranty. Cracks
and Fissures may occur as timber dries and this
is a normal process and does not affect the
overall strength and durability of the timber. The timber
will change colour over time and may also contain Knots
and Knot Holes. These are not covered by the warranty as
these naturally occur in all pressure treated wood.
Safety Advice
- The Monmouth Climbing Frame and Swing Set is suitable for
children aged 3-14, up to a maximum of 50kg per child and
up to a maximum of 3 children at any time. Not suitable
for children under 36 months - children under this age may
fall off and not be able to sufficiently support themselves.
Do not position the Monmouth over concrete, asphalt or any
other hard surface or near to any water hazards. We recommend
that you place the Monmouth on a level surface at least 2m
from any structure or obstruction such as a fence, garage,
house, overhanging branches, laundry lines or electrical
wires. Do not Modify your Play system as this may adversely
affect it's function and will also void your warranty. Only
to be used under Adult Supervision. |
